The reason limb costs $40K is because healthcare should be government-sponsored, free of charge for people. That's why! And doctors have to get reqular salaries, instead of getting rich on people they treat. Being a doctor in America it's like being a god, getting medical license means getting "a license to steal". You change that system first, then go get a limb. Until then - USE CRUTCHES (if you can afford them)! GOD BLESS AMERICA! Ha-ha, something like this could happen only in America….
